FAQ

Questions, answered

If it's not covered here, email us β€” we'd rather answer twice than have you wonder.

What should I wear?

Saturday is formal / black-tie optional β€” suits or tuxes, gowns or elegant cocktail attire. The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors on the waterfront, so choose shoes that can handle a lawn or deck. Friday welcome drinks are resort casual; Sunday brunch is come-as-you-are.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors along the marina; dinner and dancing move indoors. February evenings run 60s–70sΒ°F with a water breeze β€” a light layer or wrap is a good idea. If weather surprises us, everything shifts to a beautiful indoor backup space at the resort.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Plus-ones are by name: your invitation lists exactly who's included, so if it says β€œand guest” (or names your person), bring them! We wish we could host everyone's favorite people, but the venue keeps us honest on headcount. If you're unsure who's covered, just ask us β€” we'd rather you ask than guess.

Are kids invited?

We're keeping the celebration to high schoolers and up. We adore your younger ones, but between the late night and the waterfront setting, this is one to enjoy without them β€” consider it a built-in date night. The hotel concierge can help arrange babysitting if you're bringing the family to town.

When should I RSVP by?

Please respond by January 2, 2027 so we can finalize counts with the venue. The RSVP form takes about a minute.

Where should I stay?

We have a room block at Pier 66 itself β€” staying on-property means zero commute and the after-party is an elevator ride from bed. Details and the booking link are on the Travel & Stay page. Plenty of hotels along the 17th Street Causeway and the beach work too.

Do I need a car?

Not if you stay at or near the resort. Rideshares are everywhere, and the Water Taxi is honestly more fun than driving. If you do drive, the resort has valet and self-parking.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We're having an unplugged ceremony β€” please keep phones and cameras tucked away for those twenty minutes. Our photographer will capture everything and we'll share the gallery. After the ceremony, snap away and tag us!

I have dietary restrictions β€” will there be food for me?

Yes! There's a spot on the RSVP form for dietary needs and allergies. The kitchen at Pier 66 can handle vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergies gracefully β€” just tell us in advance.

What's the best airport?

Fly into FLL if you can β€” it's ten minutes from the venue. MIA and PBI both work with a 45–60 minute drive. Full details on the Travel & Stay page.

Is there a registry?

No registry β€” between the two of us we've been settled in Fort Lauderdale for years, and our home is happily full. If you'd like to give something, we have a simple newlywed fund on the Gifts page, and there will be a card box at the reception. Truly, your presence is the gift.
